About ‘Amsterdam Dam Golden Hour’ by Marijke Trienekens

The Palace on Dam Square in Amsterdam, taken during the golden hour in Corona time April 2020. Amsterdam was completely empty and fantastic to still be able to walk through the city of Amsterdam with the camera during this sad and strange period. As you can see, there are almost no people on Dam Square. A few, like me, everything else was quiet. A crazy period, everything was closed, shops, cafes and no people anywhere. For me, I felt like I was back in the 1970s. I remember that time very well. This evening, the sky was very warm and colourful in the setting sun, everything has a golden edge at this moment....The palace is empty and deserted but shining like a Queen in the setting sun. I continued my way through Amsterdam, it was time to go home.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
