This great piece of art is made by the Dutch artist Johannes.
Johannes has always been creative and driven by art, graffiti and music.
During his time working as an artist, he has created an impressive collection of various subjects.
One of these subjects is his city collection including the artwork that you are looking at right now.
The aim of his collections is to create something beautiful that will appeal to the public so that everyone can enjoy his art in their homes.
He works mostly with acrylic paint on canvas and paper. Other materials used in het artwork are pen, pencil, copic markers and even spray paint. That is where the graffiti influences shine through in his colorful artworks.
For this painting acrylic and spray paint is used. All sides of the canvas are painted. The image of the back of the canvas where the sides are unpainted is just to show material of the canvas.
It's a beautiful painting of a typical streetcorner view of Amsterdam with its townhouses and canals. The gentle sway of the waterways, lined with (house)boats and the bridges arching over the canals evoke a sense of quiet beauty.
The use of mostly brown color tints gives the painting a calming look.
The addition of colorful trees and other details make the cityview complete.
