A kingfisher in mid-flight painting. His wings outstretched, showing all of his beautiful colours. Glowing shades of blue for his head and wings and warm, orangey-red tones for his chest. Using short, dappled brushstrokes allows the colors the blend and merge with the background where the same colours are used, but in a more saturated way. Using these different color tones still make the kingfisher stand out in this painting.
