On Helgoland, a German Wadden Island between Denmark and Germany there is a fairly large breeding colony of Gannets. They come flying with great speed, from the sea, to their nests. Long shutter speeds and flash techniques lend themselves perfectly to making nice abstract-looking pictures of them.
Since the digital developments, my interest in photography has regained momentum - I am from the slide era.
Now I also work a lot with vintage lenses...very fascinating...
