The Mandelholz Dam (Kalte Bode flood control reservoir) is a flood control reservoir located between the towns of Elend and Königshütte in the town of Oberharz am Brocken in the Harz Mountains. It dams the Kalte Bode during floods. The dam was built from 1952 to 1957 and consists of an earth dam with an integrated concrete control gallery. To protect the top of the dam from flooding, an overflow was installed to the south of it as a spillway. The dam overflowed for the last time during the 1994 flood.
