Full moon. Smooth sea. An island with old tall trees and walled with thick walls. A hotel, some houses and meditation centre are the only buildings on this part of the small island. A man climbs the old stone stairs. A guest, islander or unwanted person? His reflection, along with the stairs and walls, hangs motionless in the dark, deep waters of the Atlantic.
Where did the man come from? From the mainland in the distance? Or from somewhere else? Did he row the yellow rowboat to the island?
On the left side of the island, the water is shallow. A light buoy with bright white light keeps the boats away. On the right, as a breakwater, three concrete elements float in a straight line. The 'boulders', believe it or not, can change position by remote control.
The light caused by the moonlight has something mysterious and peaceful at the same time. How do the alternating light and dark colour areas in the deep water make you feel? And what of the moonlit buildings and trees? Would you want to live on this island?
