Angel of Trust

Angel of Trust

In this painting, an angel gazes at us calmly and intently. His head rests gently on his hand, whilst his elbow is propped up on his other arm. His posture radiates patience and inner serenity. The golden-blonde curls frame a delicate face, whose eyes, full of wisdom and confidence, are fixed upon the viewer. It is the gaze of a being who knows that all things will work out for the best.

Suspended by a fine golden thread, the angel holds the globe directly before his heart. It floats lightly yet is protected, becoming a symbol of our world, which rests in divine care. Even as crises and wars shake our times, the image reminds us: we are upheld. The rebirth of the Earth is already underway, and humanity is being led into a new golden age.

Warm hues ranging from radiant gold and yellow through soft orange to delicate cream-white flood the picture, lending it a comforting, hopeful atmosphere. Behind the angel, a golden halo shines, whilst the large, delicately rendered wings envelop him like a protective cloak. Splashes of white paint and fine lines lend the scene a sense of vitality and lightness.

The original was created as a hand-painted egg tempera oil painting. This traditional technique lends the colours depth and luminosity.

The ‘Angel of Trust’ invites us to pause, take a deep breath and trust in divine guidance. He bestows confidence, peace and the certainty that, in the end, everything will turn out well.
