The artwork "Architectural Detail - Berlin Futurium" shows a section of the striking façade design of the Futurium in Berlin. The surface reflects the light in a variety of ways and creates a lively interplay of colours - yellow and green tones in particular stand out, depending on the incidence of light and the perspective.
The inspiration for this work came from an exploration of modern scientific architecture. I was interested in how future thinking can be translated into form and material. The façade of the Futurium is not only functional, but also a visual statement - it stands for change, reflection and complexity.
I wanted to create an atmosphere that is structured but not rigid. The picture invites the viewer to engage with the details and discover the order behind the apparent irregularity.
