Amid the serene winter landscape, an enchanting scene unfolds.
As I walk through the beautiful Icelandic landscape, hoping to capture a beautiful moment, a group of at least 300 small and large barm's owls flies towards me. I immediately decide to lie flat on the ground in the hope of getting 1 (or more) in front of the lens. A lively little hawk deftly perches on a snow-covered branch. Its red cap stands out beautifully against the pure white background, creating a striking contrast. The little bird seems completely at ease in the cold weather, its fluffy plumage offering insulation against the icy air. With its tiny bill, the little barm siskin pecks at a frost-covered seed, enjoying the winter feast, the barm siskin does not even notice the ice remaining on its bill . The tranquillity of the snow-covered landscape is enhanced by the presence of this enchanting creature, a testament to the resilience and beauty of nature even in the coldest seasons.
