You woný see this vegetable in The Netherlands that often: The Artichoke. Wandering through the hinterland of Brittany in France, we run behind a farm in a field full of wonderfully beautiful growing plants. This appears to be, which until recently I knew of "canned artichoke heart". Cheeky photographing we step around in this field until the female farmer angry calls us to order with a French temperament. Our statement tempers her anger and when we buy a box full of artichokes for a firm price, the kindness complete. In the evening we simmer the artichokes for a long time in a pan, then we can clean the fleshy leaves with tasteful bites. A true new experience.
