About the artwork

Realistic painting in acrylic of the Aston Martin DBS V12 from around 2007, painted by artist Paul Meijering - the original painting is 90 x 120 cm and available for sale.

The Aston Martin DBS is a sports car made by the British brand Aston Martin. Aston Martin has previously used the name DBS for a 1967 GT. This modern car replaced the brand's flagship, the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish.

The car was first seen in the Bond film Casino Royale. However, during the filming of the movie, the DBS was still largely on the drawing board. Three test models of the DB9 were donated by Aston Martin and were converted to look like a DBS. The unveiling took place at a charity event called "Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance" in 2007. The car appeared there in a new color called "Casino Ice". During the test sessions that were held with the car at the Nürburgring, Aston Martin had stuck the DBRS9 sign on the back, afterwards it turned out that this was only done to confuse the photographers.
