A black and white impression from Athens.
The photo shows a view of the 5th century BC Hephaisteion (Temple of Hephaestus), one of the best preserved ancient Greek temples.
Originally dedicated to the god of blacksmithing, the structure survived many centuries as a Christian church. Today, the Hephaisteion is part of the archaeological site of the Athens Agora and is a famous landmark of the Greek capital.
