Long exposure with a LEE Big Stopper of a river in Val Grande National Park, Italy. The fall in this rugged wilderness in the mountains west of Lake Maggiore is beautiful around late October.
In the narrow valleys between densely forested slopes are many small rivers, the water of which eventually end up in the river San Bernardino. Though the mountains are not high, because of the steep and rugged mountain slopes, they are difficult to access. There is only one village (Cicogna) within the boundaries of the national park, but hikers will find many remnants of habitation here. Some of the old farmhouses and houses have been restored and now serve as bivouac hut. Ideal to spend the night during a mountain trip
