About ‘Autumn in the Golden Valley’ by Marieke Wouters

The large golden circle and the diagonal bands of red, orange and ochre capture the movement of falling leaves and the warm light of autumn. The work has a gentle dynamism: as if the wind were sweeping through the landscape, bathing everything in a golden glow.

My source of inspiration is the transition from summer to autumn. The lower-angled light, colours that deepen and a landscape that slowly settles into tranquillity. Suitable for: interiors featuring wood, beige and earth tones; modern bohemian spaces; cosy dining rooms; places where a rich, seasonal accent works beautifully.
