The Avalanche Crest Trail in Glacier National Park, British Columbia, is a challenging but rewarding 8.7 km round trip hike. The trail starts at Illecillewaet Campground and climbs steeply up through a dense forest of cedar and hemlock trees. As you climb higher, the forest opens up and you enter an alpine meadow. From the top of the Avalanche Crest, you have breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers, including the iconic Rogers Pass.
