Avondlicht Kerkstraat, Valkenburg

When day slowly turns into evening, the Kerkstraat in Valkenburg takes on a character all its own. The warmth of the sun retreats, but leaves a glow on the marlstone facades that hold the soft light as if it does not want to disappear. The street breathes peace; the hubbub is hushed, and only the rhythm of footsteps and the soft murmur of the wind fill the silence.

During an evening stroll down this historic street, a play of light and shadow unfolds. Stones light up in gold and amber, windows reflect the last light, and the sky slowly turns from orange to deep blue. Here, the everyday turns into something timeless - a moment where past and present meet.

Kerkstraat, with its narrow shape and characteristic facades, tells the story of Valkenburg: a town that carries its history with dignity, but in which life gently flows on.

This sculpture captures the atmosphere of evening, the stillness after the day, the warmth of light, the beauty of simplicity. An ode to the city at rest, to the Limburg light that brings stone to life.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
