This illustration is inspired by the well-known Gate of Heaven at the Lempuyang Temple in Bali, Indonesia. Between the two tall gates, Mount Agung appears in the distance, surrounded by mist and moonlight. In the foreground, lotus flowers float on blue water, while soft pink tones colour the sky. A Balinese woman looks up at the moon – a moment of silence and wonder.
The image grew from my fascination with the mystical atmosphere of Bali: its temples, the rhythm of prayer, and the balance between nature and humanity. I translated that experience into a calm, graphic composition where symmetry and serenity meet.
The work radiates spiritual calm and brings a touch of Indonesian mystique into the home. With its soft colours and balanced lines, it fits beautifully in spaces that seek harmony – such as a yoga room, bedroom, or place for meditation and relaxation.
