he Alcazar Real de Sevilla is the royal palace of Seville. The palace complex consists of several buildings in Moorish style. Construction began in 913 and the complex has continued to expand over the centuries. When King Juan Carlos of Spain visits Seville the palace is still his residence. A visit to this beautiful palace including the gardens easily takes half a day but is well worth it. I found it more beautiful, and also much quieter, that the much more famous Alhambra in Granada. At the edge of the garden complex you will find the old bathhouse, not large but very worthwhile.
