Upon arriving in Pushkar, you immediately feast your eyes. The large lake around which the extraordinary buildings are built is magnificent. The city is considered a holy city by Hindus and is an important pilgrimage site.

You see bathing people everywhere and although you are not allowed to take pictures, I was happily accepted.…

Paula Romein
Burgh-Haamstede, Netherlands

Paula Romein is a Dutch photographer who has been working for various companies since 2008. She is also a travel photographer, which is her great passion.

She began her studies at the Stichting Kunstzinnige Vorming in Rotterdam and later followed the course at Martin van Thiel's photography school in Utrecht. Paula lives with her partner Rolf and their two cats in the Zeeland village of Burgh-Haamstede.
