On the Baltic Sea island of Usedom, you can see rescue tower No. 4 and the longest German pier on the beach of Heringsdorf. It juts a whole 508 metres into the sea. An imposing structure. The clouds on that day of photography are just as imposing. They contrast well with the warmly coloured sandy beach and its rescue tower. This combination of beach, sea, sky and the filigree of the buildings inspired me to create this work of art.
