Beautiful sunrise over the shifting sand dunes of Corralejo. This picture was taken by chance, actually I wanted to take pictures in the dunes, but when I saw that the sun rose directly above the road, I had to hold on to it. The photo was taken in Corralejo, a village on Fuerteventura, Spain - on the Canary Islands. Taken in the morning in December with a strong wind and a rain front in the background. This created this unique light Corralejo is a town on the north-east coast of Fuerteventura, one of Spain's Canary Islands. The town is known for the Corralejo Nature Park with its windswept dune beaches, including Playa del Moro. The nature park, a habitat for endangered wildlife, is also home to Montaña Roja, a volcano with panoramic views. There are numerous restaurants and bars in the town, which was once a fishing village. The nearby island of Lobos is a nature reserve with rare bird species.
