I took this photo in my own hometown, beautiful Leiden. One of the most beautiful spots in this already beautiful city. A view across the Rapenburg towards the Nonnenbrug. This has been one of the most beautiful streets since the 17th century and it still is today. You will find many monumental and stately buildings, including the Academy Building and the entrance to the Hortus Botanicus.
You also see beautiful bridges, such as this Nonnenbrug, which connects the Nonnensteeg and the Kloksteeg. Under the green deciduous trees, you have a view of some pretty houses. The cheerful flowers in the window boxes give a nice and summery atmosphere. The bicycles on the waterfront, the fallen leaves in autumn colour and the beautiful reflection in the water complete the picture.
A few years ago I started to delve into photography a bit more and by now it can be called a passion.I photograph everything that strikes me in a positive way. Landscapes, animals and occasionally architecture or portraits.... But my preference is still nature photos, especially macro.. Read more…
