Beautiful swan floating on the Wolderwijd between Harderwijk and Zeewolde. The Mute Swan is just coming up to the surface when this picture was taken. In his beak a twig and a string of droplets hanging like pearls. Also on his head you can see the drops of water that remain after the submersion.
Note that the photo has limited sharpness, or if you like consciously limited depth of field.
The swan's head, eyes and bill are in focus. The rest of the swan and certainly the background fade away so that the emphasis is on the swan's head. The feathers stand out nicely against the background.
