Beige Abstract Painting: Birch Wood Finding Peace Around a Golden Heart by Surreal Media

What you see are rings. They start small around a honey-gold disc right in the centre and then radiate outwards, growing wider and wider, until they almost reach the edge of the square. The surface looks like old birch wood in shades of white and light sand, smooth and slightly glossy. If you look for longer, you’ll see the fine cracks that run outwards from the centre like little rivers. They don’t break the circles; on the contrary, they bring them to life. Within the golden disc itself is a soft glow, almost like a little sun trapped within the wood. I thought of the stillness of a tree that grows year after year without rushing. Each ring is a layer, a season, something that endures. That is the feeling I wanted to capture: tranquillity that is not empty, but full of stories you do not need to know to feel them. The atmosphere is both light and warm. The raking light reveals every fibre, making the work feel tangible, even though it is a digital artwork with the appearance of weathered wood, featuring relief and fine cracks.

For me, it’s about patience and a core that remains golden, no matter what changes around you. On the wall, the piece provides a calm focal point. It complements natural materials, linen and light wood, and suits people who love the forest, craftsmanship or simplicity. In a living room, bedroom or quiet workspace, it can be a place where your gaze finds momentary rest.
