This magnificent fresco, of the procession of the Magi from the East to pay homage to the Christ Child, represents the famous Medici family of Florence in all their splendor. The golden incense box held high by the bearer, on the right side of the image, is an acknowledgment of the importance of spices and ointments from Asia in that period.
