Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘Between Decay and Everyday Life’ by The Negative Dept.

An unassuming corner speaks of transience and everyday life. Between an old brick wall, overgrown vegetation and a weathered concrete edge lies rubbish carelessly discarded. Packaging, paper and plants mingle to form a haphazard, almost silent composition.

The black-and-white tone of the image heightens the raw and melancholic atmosphere. Light and shadow highlight the different textures – from the coarse masonry to the delicate leaves and the hard edges of the concrete. In the background, the surroundings fade into blurriness, leaving it unclear exactly where this place is situated.

What at first appears to be an everyday, unspectacular moment takes on a timeless quality through the analogue aesthetic. The image draws the viewer’s gaze to a place where nature, architecture and traces of human activity converge – caught between decay, overgrowth and the ordinary rhythms of daily life.
