Diffuse light among packed, threatening clouds. Last summer, I made a photo-trekking tour in Iceland. As I was preparing for this trip, I read somewhere on a site that one should seriously consider the weather in Iceland. How true! During this tour, I experienced, at a fast pace, almost all types of weather. Mist, snow, rain, sunshine, strong winds and frost at night too. On this morning, I left my overnight spot with the sun shining in the sky, walked past the lake and crossed a river barefoot. While climbing the mountain, the sky closed in and a menacing atmosphere emerged. Funnily enough, you experience the changing weather more intensely when you are in the wild and sleeping there. You are more at the mercy of the elements. While taking the photo, there was an opening in the clouds above the lake, but thick enough to break the sunlight. This created a beautiful spectacle of diffuse, dreamy light contrasting with the dark clouds.Álftavatn- Iceland
