About ‘Between sky and surf’ by Jean Pierre

The sunset by the sea paints an impressive spectacle of light, colour and movement, highlighting the cliffs in dramatic beauty. On the horizon, the sun slowly lowers, its fireball sending out radiant glow in warm orange and red tones, which spread across the water and transform the ocean into liquid gold. The steep cliffs rise abruptly from the sea, their rock faces showing layers of grey, brown and rust, tanned by the weather and smoothed by the salt. Small plant cushions gather in the cracks and protrusions, appearing dark green at dusk and lending life to the stone.

The surf crashes against the rock bases with white spray, while fine mist hangs in the air and breaks the light. Reflections of the sun draw bright paths across the surface of the water, flickering with each crash of the waves. The sky is a painting of pastel and fire: deep purple tones fade into bright magenta, while delicate shades of dusky pink and peach emphasise the clouds. Seagulls occasionally make their rounds and add quiet movement to the scene.

On a nearby ledge stands perhaps a single, wind-bent beech tree or an old fence, a silent witness to the transience of this moment. The air smells of salt and seaweed, infused with cool moisture. This image conveys both longing and tranquillity: the power of nature meets tender colours, and the moment between day and night invites us to pause, to dream and to be in silent awe of the vastness of the sea.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
