About "Big Trees Small Man"

About the artwork

There’s a quiet power in how light carves through space. This photo captures a field where the shadows do most of the storytelling. The man jogging near the top of the frame feels small, almost incidental, compared to the towering silhouettes of the cypress trees stretching across the grass. These elongated shadows pull your eyes across the image, creating a kind of visual gravity that anchors everything. The black-and-white treatment strips the scene of distractions and puts all the focus on shape and contrast. There’s a surprising amount of rhythm here—the repeating forms of the trees, their uniform spacing, the parallel reach of their shadows—and yet it’s broken just enough by the runner’s casual pace and the uneven texture of the grass. The composition feels minimal, but there’s nothing empty about it. It’s about scale, solitude, and the unexpected drama of an everyday setting at just the right moment. Sometimes all it takes is the angle of the sun to make a scene feel like a stage.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
