Every forest has something unique, and birches are beautiful to me. The leaves are fresh green in spring and summer, turning to warm shades of yellow and orange in autumn. The white trunks with dark "eyes" contrast insanely well with this.
While taking the photo, the camera was moved up and down. This makes the finest details disappear and creates a more abstract image. It is still recognisable as a forest, but the larger the photo is viewed, the more the movement becomes visible. And the more the photo looks like a painting.
It was a new way for me to capture nature, different from the usual but still recognisable. The autumn colours make for a warm picture and those beautiful white trunks stand out beautifully.
