The black rhino (Diceros bicornis) is one of two African rhinos. He's also called a pointy-lipped rhinoceros. The scientific name of the species was published as Rhinoceros bicornis in 1758 by Carl Linnaeus.[2] It is the only recent species of the genus Diceros. The black rhino is found on the savannahs of East and Central Africa. He is threatened with extinction, mainly because poachers kill him for the horns.
On Saturday, December 23 at 17:57, 2017, was the moment everyone was looking forward to; Naima gave birth to a girl. The little one could be up in an hour. Such a small spring-in-the-field has only been seen once in Blijdorp, but also in the Netherlands. It's been 57 years!
