About ‘Black patent boots’ by Quinta Mandala

A sensational, surrealistic image of two black patent leather boots leaning against a small scaffolding made of black wood.

The tips of the boots point far outwards. At the front, in the centre, just above the instep of the foot, there are red, integrated laces. In the ankle region, black laces wrap around the provocative footwear many times over. At the very top of the upper, long, bright red laces are draped in a spiral around the entrance. Thin, extra-high heels emphasise the fetish.

A few pieces of black cord also hang on the left and right of the wooden frame.

The floor shines wet in yellowish brown tones, while a grey and white curtain billows in the background.
