The blue hour on the Postbank hills brought the moors to life in a way that made it difficult to put the camera down. The sky changed to deep blue and purple hues, while the blooming heather sparkled in the soft morning light. The dewdrops on the flowers gave the landscape an almost magical feel. It was peaceful, a moment when nature in its finest form came to silence. The liberating silence was broken only by the soft whistling of early birds. The sky seemed to change slowly, from blue to lighter purple as the first rays of sunlight reached the horizon. It was a unique moment, which I captured with both my eyes and my camera.
