About ‘Boutique in Harfleur’ by Matthias Stolt

I discovered this charming boutique at the harbour in Harfleur, Normandy. The crooked house, combined with the colourful summer dresses, created a vibrant scene with a touch of nostalgia. I took the photo using a digital SLR camera with a 28–200 mm standard zoom lens.

Hamburg, Germany

I worked as a freelance photo designer for 25 years. My focus was on fashion and advertising photography. I am also the author of numerous books and articles in trade magazines.
Before becoming self-employed, I worked in marketing for a large camera manufacturer, where I was in charge of public relations.

I discovered my love of photography during my training as a retoucher. This sparked a desire not only to edit photos, but to take them myself.
