This work is a close-up of a Brown bear (Ursos arctos) backlit by the setting sun. The photograph was converted to black and white and the bear can be seen in side view as a silhouette. The photo was taken in Finnish Lapland near a small lake in a swamp. It is spring and in the foreground the flowers of cottongrass can be seen as white specks. The background is formed by a dark forest, against which the silhouette of the bear stands out well.
