From our vacation address in IJzendijke, we decided to visit the beautiful Belgian town of Bruges with its many historical sites and buildings.
The center of the city, crossed by the canals, the "Brugse Reien", with its many beautiful old buildings.
We were lucky that there appeared to be a cycling race (Road World Championships 2022) ? so it was very quiet in the city itself.
We had a great time strolling around and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. Finished the day with a snack and a drink at the main market.
I took this picture across the canal from the St. John's Hospital. It is one of the oldest preserved hospital buildings in Europe. Really beautiful to see.
It is also a museum where you can see, among other things, a collection of artworks and medical instruments that tell about the former hospital life and what the hospital rooms looked like back then.
Who am I, a small intro:
Once started as an architecture photographer with Robert Oerlemans as my photography docent at the art academy in The Hague.
Later followed by a 4-year art study "visual" at the UCK in Utrecht and a screen printing course at the CKE in Eindhoven.
