Bryce Canyon National Park in the USA.
I have visited and hiked this extraordinary canyon in the USA several times.
Each time it has fascinated and inspired me in its own special way.
Especially early in the morning, when you have the canyon to yourself, it shows all its charm.
The deep red and dark lights and shadows are caught in the towering hoodos, transforming the canyon into an almost mystical place.
I have been sitting here all alone for almost an hour early in the morning at an altitude of 2400m, looking down into the canyon below me.
The stars have been shining until just now and the first chipmunks (squirrels) are surrounding me curiously, hoping to get some of my morning bread.
The air is icy clear and smells of fresh pine.
It is quiet as a mouse.
Only the wind whistles softly between the pines while the sun slowly appears on the horizon.
The camera has long since been adjusted and set up.
My thoughts are only here.
Only here in the canyon, with the chimpmunks and looking expectantly at the horizon and the monitor of my camera.
I could sit here like this for hours.
These are the wonderfully quiet moments that I love so much in photography. And in such a place ( ! )As sunrise approaches, the canyon with its hoodoos and rock needles glows softly in warm red and orange tones.
I am impressed by the majestic landscape and the shimmering red canyon below me, which is virtually all alone at my feet.
An incredible experience that I will certainly never forget.
It is not without reason that Bryce Canyon is one of the most beautiful canyons in the USA. And anyone who has been there will know what I mean. enjoy ! landscape picture / panorama picture in black and white 90310101ays
