This Canadair CT-133 Silver Star 3 is a licence-built Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star (T-Bird). The T-33 is a jet-powered training aircraft. The aircraft was designed by US aircraft manufacturer Lockheed, which built it from the late '40s to the late '50s. This successful and reliable aircraft, of which more than 7,000 were built, served with air forces of more than 80 countries including the Royal Air Force.
Worldwide, several dozen T-33s are still in airworthy condition. Many of these aircraft are now privately owned.
