I had a wonderful visit to Marrech in Morroco about 15 years ago. Marrakech is an assault on the senses!
One of my favorite places that I visited on that trip was to the Jardin Majorelle, a wonderful botanical garden like an oasis. It contains a cubist villa that is decorated in a gorgeous shade of blue, known as Majorelle Blue. This is cleverly contrasted with shades of yellow as can be seen here, both on the building itself and in the yellow plant pot sitting on the tiled wall. In front of that, and making a wonderful contrast to the blue and yellow are a group of cactus plants. Different shapes and sizes, and all spiky contrasting with the soft round of the plant pot.
