The Masca village is Tenerife (Canary Islands) is indescribably beautiful, surrounded by huge mountains. It lies at an altitude of 650m.
The village also has an interesting history. Originally quite remote, it was only connected to a road in 1991. It is surrounded by fertile land and the community at its largest consisted of about 600 inhabitants. Now there are about 90 residents who make their income from serving tourists.
But probably also by selling cactus pears here and there. I always find prickly pears super cute to use as foreground. It creates more depth in the photo.
