About ‘Calvados distillery’ by Matthias Stolt

In the picturesque little town of Harfleur in Normandy, I came across this old Calvados distillery, which was, of course, a perfect subject. Using a digital SLR camera and a standard zoom lens, I captured this harmonious scene in Mediterranean colours.

Matthias Stolt

Hamburg, Germany

I worked as a freelance photo designer for 25 years. My focus was on fashion and advertising photography. I am also the author of numerous books and articles in trade magazines.
Before becoming self-employed, I worked in marketing for a large camera manufacturer, where I was in charge of public relations.

I discovered my love of photography during my training as a retoucher. This sparked a desire not only to edit photos, but to take them myself.
