About ‘Campsis blossom against a blue sky’ by Andreas Paul
The orange of the Campsis blossom glows softly against the blue sky. It is almost like a silhouette. There is only a small area in focus; the eye keeps refocusing and is forced to piece together the whole picture. Our visual habits are subverted. Proportions are lost; the small becomes large, oversized, defying what we are used to.
