Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Canyonlands National Park’ by Gert Hilbink

The Canyonlands near Moab in Utah (USA) became a National Park in 1964. The park is 1349 square kilometres in size.

The park is a still very pristine area of canyons and table mountains carved by the Colorado River, Green River and their tributaries in the Colorado Plateau. It offers impressive views of the course of the Colorado River. The rivers divide the park into four districts: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze and the rivers themselves. Despite the limited vegetation, wildlife such as coyotes and bighorn sheep live in the Canyonlands. Due to the large difference in summer and winter temperatures, it is not an interesting area for human exploitation. These climatic variations are linked to its location: the park is in fact 1200 to 2400 metres above sea level and there is very little rainfall. The nickname for the park is therefore 'high desert'.
Places worth seeing include The Needles, Maze and Island in the Sky.
