Typical of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean are the trade winds that sweep across the island.
The trees and shrubs on the islands suffer and are blown by the wind towards the southwest.
The remains of this mangrove (fofoti) can be found in the water at Baby Beach, Aruba.
