A photo art piece created in impressionist style of a traditional carousel at a town in Central Italy as part of Christmas celebrations. I saw a child look up at this little ferris wheel, with all the bright colours and lights flashing (not to mention all the loud music an announcements). The look of excitement on his face reminded me of the first time I ever went to a funfair as a child. I remember how magical it was and walking around with wide eyes (and my first ever experience of candy floss/cotton candy). In my processing of this image I wanted to capture that awe and wonder at the movement, lights and the feeling of excitement of that first experience.
Born in the South of England I now live half way up a mountain in Umbria, Italy. I work from my art studio looking out over fabulous views of the Italian countryside. I am so happy to share my artwork with you.
