About "Chakra 2"

by Jeroen Carelse

About the artwork

The Chakra series is a bold exploration of psychic human energies, with a focus on the dynamic interaction between female and male sexual energies. Inspired by the pioneering work of psychic and researcher Ingo Swann, this series delves into the visualisation of archetypal female energy and its interaction with male counterparts.

Using the fluid and expressive medium of encaustic wax, the artist encapsulates the essence of energy flows in intricate molecular patterns. The central female figure, rendered in a timeless, classical style, projects her sexual energy to a group of men, symbolising the exchange and assessment of information between them.

The series draws on Swann's descriptions of the female sexual energy system, particularly the expansive red chakra in the pelvic region and the small green chakra above the clitoris, which emits a bendable, projectable beam seeking connection with male energies. Rooted in the fusion of psychic insights and concepts from physics, this visual narrative invites viewers to reflect on the data-driven nature of human experiences and the profound, invisible forces that shape our interactions.
