The town of Longyearbyen is the largest and northernmost settlement in Svalbard with over 2000 inhabitants. The town is characterized by different types of buildings, which stand out sharply against the characteristic winter landscape.
The photo was taken during an expedition trip on sailing ship S/V Northern Lights to Spitsbergen (Svalbard, Norway).
