City Hall is a former New York subway station on the Lexington Avenue Line in Manhattan. The station is named after New York City Hall. The station was originally the terminus of New York's first subway line. The station, including the platform, is located at a turning loop. Due to the increase in passenger numbers, the platform had to be extended, which would be very difficult. Since the Brooklyn Bridge station is nearby, the City Hall station was closed.
