About the artwork

Deventer is a city, municipality and old Hanseatic city in the eastern Netherlands and in the southwest of the province of Overijssel. The city is situated on the IJssel. In the southwest of the municipality Schipbeek flows into the IJssel.Deventer is one of the five oldest cities in the Netherlands. The place is already mentioned in the 9th century sources of the diocese of Utrecht.
In a charter from 877 mentions seven hooves Daventre portu (the Deventer harbor). In 952 Deventer is a donation charter of King Otto I mentioned as a city. After the place in the course of time had acquired more rights and privileges they received in 1123 by Emperor Henry V access to the communal grounds. This is considered by historians as the moment of obtaining city rights by the people. The city has the oldest stone house, the oldest public park and the Athenaeumbibliotheek also the oldest scientific library of the Netherlands.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
