About "Coastal storm Benjamin - Zeeland's rough sea near Westenschouwen"

About the artwork

This long exposure was taken on the coast of Zeeland on the evening of 24 October 2025, after Storm Benjamin had made landfall with full force. It was taken near Westenschouwen, where this small row of groynes was found to take its place in the picture as a design element.
The air was still filled with salty spray. Every roaring movement of the sea, every swirling grain of sand and even the foam blown ashore by the storm had a vivid effect. As the last rays of sunlight broke through the low cloud bank, this short-lived, high-contrast moment emerged: the wildly moving water, the rushing surf and the warm light of the sunset created an almost mythical atmosphere. The camera equipment was already covered in a fine film of salt - but it still managed to capture the moment when light and movement came together.
This picture is not so much a still coastal portrait as an event: storm, light and the power of nature in a fleeting interplay. Ideal for lovers of finely nuanced moods and intense coastal experiences.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
